Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Masque Club (the "Service"), operated by Masque ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Age Requirement

The Service contains mature, fictional roleplay content and is intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. By using the Service you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You may register with a username and password or via a supported third-party provider (Google or Discord). Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. The Service & AI-Generated Content

• The Service provides interactive, AI-generated fictional roleplay with virtual personas.
• All characters and scenarios are fictional. AI output may be inaccurate, and should not be relied upon as factual, professional, medical, legal, or financial advice.
• You are responsible for the prompts and content you submit and must not use the Service to generate or solicit illegal content, content depicting minors, non-consensual content, or content that violates the rights of others.

4. Credits & Payments

The Service operates on a credit system. Credits may be granted (e.g., on signup or daily) or purchased through our payment processor, Stripe. Credits are a limited license to access Service features, have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Pricing and credit costs may change prospectively. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limits;
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass, abuse, or harm others;
• Attempt to generate content prohibited under Section 3;
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its personas, software, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use outputs you generate for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Unused credits are subject to the Refund Policy.

8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
